**Our Compliance team works collaboratively as an independent regulatory and compliance advisory and assurance function. Their main objective is to manage regulatory and compliance risks. The team are looking for a Compliance Monitoring Officer to join and be the primary interface between Compliance and VWFS (UK) LTD.**

**_ This is what you could be doing:_**
- Manage the design of the overall Compliance Monitoring plan to oversee the first line of defence controls in line with the regulatory risk cycle.
- Manage the development, updating and maintenance of an appropriate risk assessment matrix taking into consideration regulatory risk.
- Plan for monitoring activity in relation to the Compliance Monitoring Plan to ensure adherence to relevant regulatory laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Manage and conduct compliance monitoring reviews in line with the Compliance Monitoring Review framework including collaborating with stakeholders to gather information for analysis, testing, producing reports on the findings of monitoring activity and developing a plan to mitigate identified risks.
- Maintain a register of monitoring findings and actions to track outcomes to ensure agreed corrective actions are satisfactorily implemented.
- Lead the management of the Compliance Policy inbox to ensure timely specialist regulatory and compliance advice is provided.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Compliance Team up to the Board of Management level to create accurate, appropriate and timely risk reporting for the Compliance and Integrity Risk Committee (including scheduling meetings and minute taking) and relevant dashboards for the Operational Risk Committee and Enterprise Risk Committee.
- Support the Compliance Officer with updating Compliance policies and procedures to ensure they are compliant with FCA and IOHB requirements.
- Assist the Compliance Officer with the management of the Compliance Education programme for VWFS.
- Manage the tracking of the compliance roadmap (and related allocation of work across the team) to ensure all known compliance tasks are completed in a timely manner.

- Direct experience of identification, management, monitoring and reporting of risks either in project or business as usual environments
- Experience of researching and collation of complex written information.
- Ability to carry out multiple tasks, planning work effectively, working within policies and procedures and managerial direction and to deliver allocated departmental objectives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the business up to Board of Management level
- Good communication skills, including reports to Senior Management
- Good analytical skills which are applied to assist in drawing conclusion from complex data
- Able to use negotiating skills to help business colleagues to understand the compliance context and influence the decision
- Provide technical support when delivering compliance monitoring outcomes
- Effective planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise challenging workloads
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people.
