**Payroll Assistant**
**About The Role**
Based at the King Power Stadium, the role of Payroll Assistant will assist the Payroll Manager in the efficient running of the Payroll department ensuring best practice and adherence with Club policies and processes and tax/employment legislation at all times, efficiently managing the Payroll administration in a timely and accurate manner.
Key duties include:
- Assist with the accurate input of payroll information on a monthly basis such as starters, leavers, amendments, salary adjustments, mileage, expenses, matchday staff payments etc; to ensure the monthly payroll is produced accurately and on time.
- To liaise with HR to ensure that all the relevant documentation has been received and is correct for New Starters going onto the Payroll system.
- Responding to Staff Payroll queries and ensure all are dealt with efficiently and accurately within the agreed service level.
**Who We’re Looking For**
- Working within a fast pasted Payroll department with a basic knowledge of HMRC regulations and procedures including Gross to Net Tax calculations.
- Using excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with employees at all levels and external customers
Do you have these essential requirements?:
- At least 2 years’ experience of Payroll data input and administration with a basic knowledge of HMRC regulations and procedures including Gross to Net Tax calculations.
- Excellent IT skills including Word and Excel and competent with large and complicated excel spreadsheets.
- Good numerical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
It would be desirable for you to have:
- Previous Experience of MHR itrent Payroll system
- Experience of dealing with large numbers of Casual/Zero Hour staff
