**Meeting and Events Sales Coordinator - MALDRON HOTEL GLASGOW CITY**
**We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Meeting and Events Sales Coordinator in the MALDRON HOTEL GLASGOW CITY.**
Maldron Hotel Glasgow City is a high-spec, modern, and centrally located hotel in Glasgow offering impressive 4-star bedrooms, meeting facilities and our Grain & Grill Restaurant
**Objective of the Role**
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Meeting and Events Sales Coordinator will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving the meeting room sales targets of hotel.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- To proactively generate meeting and events enquiries for the team.
- To work at promotional shows and stands to promote the hotel
- To work with the proactive and reactive sales teams to deliver meetings and events budgeted revenue weekly/monthly
- To give input on activity and new ideas to generate revenue to the quarterly and annual sales and marketing plan
- To conduct site inspections on the property with potential clients
- To negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs.
- To close prospects as confirmed bookings and maximise all revenue potential by upselling in all revenue producing areas.
- Maintain existing accounts and generate new business from these accounts as per targets agreed.
- Maintain up to date client databases, the CRM system and meet weekly KPI targets on sales appointments and promotional shows
- To participate fully in all sales activities including sales researching, telesales, sales calls to the local & regional market, corporate client entertaining, social events, promotions and FAM entertaining.
- Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis, monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity.

**Requirements**:
- Pro active sales experience is a must
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
