Assistant Basketball Coach

Frenford Basketball Club are looking to expand its coaching staff. Currently, we are looking to recruit an additional Basketball Coach to grow and lead our U12 / U14s programme.

The role will be based at Frenford Youth Clubs in Ilford. This will include planning and delivering a comprehensive high-quality coaching programme.

Sessions currently run all year round, every Tuesday from 5.30-6.30pm (U12s) and 6.30-7.30pm (u14s beginners) 7.30-8.30pm (u14 intermediate to advanced)

Frenford are committed to Safeguarding & Child Protection and you will ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times and will maintain accurate records of all registered participants, staff and volunteers at all planned sessions.

**The Person**
- Minimum of NGB Level 1 (or equivalent) coaching qualification
- DBS required
- Experience of delivering, managing and or/contributing to quality basketball programmes for children and young people in a school, community or sports club setting.
- Leadership qualities and ability to be a role model to young people and peers
- Experience of working with young people from disadvantaged and underrepresented groups whom are yet to experience organised sport.
- Excellent time keeping/ management skills
- Strong mentoring skills and experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills
- Flexible attitude - willingness to work unsociable hours, evenings and weekends as required
- Proficiency with IT systems included Microsoft office

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 4-6 per week

**Salary**: £10.65-£15.00 per hour
