(Senior) Specialist for Offshore Wind Resource

About the job
As a (Senior) Specialist for Offshore Wind Resource & Production, your main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Develop wind measurement strategies and analyse as well as document our offshore wind measurements (met-masts, floating LIDARS, etc.).
- Evaluate and document wind turbine performance based on supplier input and/or based on measurements.
- Generate wind farm energy yield assessments utilizing both low and high fidelity modelling approaches.
- Work in close cooperation with our technical project management and associated project team.
- Understand and implement learnings generated from our post-construction assessments.
- Disseminate knowledge within the department and ensure learnings find their way into our best practise guidelines.
- Take responsibility for the relevant technical parts within the wind turbine tender process.

There is a lot of room to shape the future. You will analyse project sites across the North and Baltic Sea with all their associated intricacies. Working within the confines of tight project deadlines while continually improving our way of working will be a challenge, but equally rewarding. **Profile**:
Your profile as an (Senior) Offshore Wind Resource & Production Specialist
For this position we look for someone with:
- A University degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience with a wind farm developer, wind turbine manufacturer, wind resource consultancy group, within a comparable industrial sector or at a relevant academic institution.
- Good understanding of maritime boundary layer flows and wind turbine operations.
- A good understanding of offshore wind park economics.
- High proficiency with coding in Python.
- Good proficiency with wind industry standard analysis software (e.g. Windographer, Openwind, WindPRO, etc.).
- A basic understanding of meso-scale modelling and CFD modelling of offshore wakes.
- Fluency in English, both oral and written.
- You complete these with the following personal skills:
- A committed person with a high degree of flexibility and self-motivation.
- Resilience and determination to master tight deadlines.
- A strong team player with ability to clearly communicate complex topics to non-specialists and to function well in an international team environment.
- Consider yourself a lifelong learner full of curiosity.

We also perform the structuring and execution of project partnerships in accordance with our overall wind strategy.
The offshore wind resource and production department is responsible for the end-to-end calculation of energy yield assessments of all our offshore windfarms from the planning to operational phase. Your main task is to support project development activities in the pre-construction phase, analyse wind conditions and perform pre-construction yield assessments utilizing both low and high fidelity modelling approaches.
