StocktononTees, United Kingdom North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust Full time

The post holder will work as a senior member of the team providing support and advice alongside effective leadership to a specified clinical team. This will be achieved by ensuring the provision of high quality safe and effective care. In addition will provide direct clinical nursing care and will deputise in the absence of the Senior Sister/Matron

The Emergency Department has a well-established workforce of Emergency Medicine consultants who provide 0800 to 2200 consultant shop floor cover 7 days a week and also have 24/7 middle grade shop floor presence. The directorate has invested in the development of an Advanced Nurse Practitioner workforce and this is now well established across Urgent and Emergency Care. We have also recently appointed two physicians associates and are constantly exploring alternative workforce models to support and compliment our existing team. We have a team of excellent nursing staff.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to join an innovative and dynamic directorate, to provide nursing leadership for the Emergency Department. The Emergency Care Directorate at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is continuing to expand and transform our urgent and emergency care services. We have recently been rated ‘Good’ by the CQC with elements of emergency care rated ‘Outstanding’. Our Integrated Urgent Care Service has recently won a parliamentary award for excellence in urgent and emergency care and we have also received national recognition from the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care for outstanding performance.

At North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust our main priority is, and always will be, to provide safe and high quality care to our patients every day; the kind of care we would want for ourselves and our loved ones. We want our organisation to be the best place to work with the right staff, in the right roles, at the right time, to ensure we deliver exceptional patient care and experience.

We will support staff through providing an inclusive and supportive workplace with health and well-being initiatives, staff benefits and opportunities for personal and professional development. Staff recognition is very important to us; as well as performance reviews and appraisals, we recognise staff through Star and Team of the month, colleague recognition - a note of thanks, Managers Awards, Shining Stars and Service Awards.

We recruit for values and “Together we are North Tees & Hartlepool”

The role will provide a visible, responsive, nurse practitioner with accountability for service delivery and advice and we are therefore seeking an innovative, inspirational nurse with a passion for patient centred care to deliver this. You will require the ability to operate at a senior level and to engage, lead, inspire and deliver is essential.
