At TJX, we’re looking for a Maintenance Co-ordinator to assist the Engineering Manager in providing a comprehensive engineering support to our Processing Centre in Stoke by co-ordinating the daily activities across the site through partnering, coaching, leading and managing others whilst promoting an inclusive culture of engagement that includes the development of individuals and teams to the highest standard.

The Maintenance Co-ordinator will be required to effectively manage day-to-day activities and workloads of a team, in collaboration with both peers and business partners and lead site capital expenditure projects from start to completion including budgeting analytics and deputising for the Engineering Manager in their absence.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**People**
- Motivate and lead the team to achieve both the current and future targets for continuous improvement, ensuring the best use of resources for machine breakdowns and work completion for the site.
- Control levels of overtime and the activities of contractors on site and ensure legislative and Company standards are met in a cost-effective manner.
- Act as 1st point of contact for incumbent 3rd party Mechanical & Electrical, cleaning, catering and travel providers.
- Administration of the payroll function through accurately updating and monitoring the Kronos payroll and Oracle system to ensuring all details are correct.
- Management of all employee relation issues through self-service, HRSC and in partnership with Human Resources, to ensure a fair and consistent approach is applied in line with TJX policies and procedures.
- Actively build and develop supportive, credible relationships with peers and team to ensure alignment and consistency of standards, processes and ways of working.
- Shaping a culture of effective performance management through high performing teams and individuals, spotting talent and developing potential.

**Process**
- Ensure the Planned Preventative Maintenance programme for all plant, machinery and facilities is carried out to both the current and changing needs of the site.
- Prepare a weekly planning schedule and ensure efficient completion of all engineering activities.
- Fully utilise the site’s computerised maintenance management system in the areas of work planning and stock control.
- Ensure all engineering recording and measurement is completed on time and to the required standard.
- Complete equipment faults in a timely and safe manner to ensure that disruption to the operation is kept to a minimum.
- Executing continuous improvement strategies, driving effective ways of working and leading teams through change.
- Continually monitor the department’s performance and recommend improvements.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation and site procedures.
- Lead delivery of site annual capital expenditure projects from start to completion from start to completion including obtaining quotations, budgeting analytics & spend reporting.
- Develop strong communication channels and routines within the department, through regular feedback and team briefs, which ensure all associates are informed of site changes and have up to date business information

**Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience**
- Experience operating in a maintenance and facilities role with some project management experience is preferred.
- Strong organisational, communication, negotiating and analytical skills are required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to form and maintain relationships with people on all levels.
- Good understanding of the principles of Health & Safety.
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- IT literate
- Able to work to target dates.
- Strong ability to planning, co-ordinating and delivering.
- Able to communicate effectively and adopt appropriate style for audience
