This is an exciting opportunity to join our UK Recruitment Team. The Wolverhampton Student Ambassador Scheme (WSAS) Coordinator is a key role within our UK Recruitment and Partnerships Department.

The UK Recruitment team manages a pool of circa 200 University of Wolverhampton student ambassadors (WSAs), recruiting each year to work across open days, campus tours, UCAS fairs, outreach and other university events. In addition, ambassadors can extend their role to be a student mentor, supporting students on a peer-to-peer basis in schools and colleges.

You will support the UK Recruitment Manager in the recruitment and development of the Wolverhampton Student Ambassador Scheme (WSAS). You will ensure the delivery of a team of highly skilled and enthusiastic ambassadors are selected and trained to support and lead activities developed and implemented by the UK Recruitment team as well as wider university initiatives.

We are seeking to employ an individual with experience of working within Higher or Further Education, with an understanding of the UK education, qualification, and funding systems. You will need to have excellent organisational skills, be proactive and have the ability to work using your own initiative. You will have strong communication skills and the confidence to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

You will be required to be involved (at peak times) in other activities delivered within the department’s function including attendance at HE Fairs, school visits, Open Days and Visit Days. This may involve travel away from the University both within the West Midlands region and, occasionally, throughout the UK and to work evening and weekends.

You will be enthusiastic and have clear project management skills to support the coordination of the assignment of ambassadors to roles and responsibilities. You will be responsible for the logístical planning and recruitment of ambassadors into their roles and must therefore be a highly organised individual.
