We are seeking to appoint a Head of the Department in the Business School at the University of Wolverhampton to lead the Department of Management and Leadership. The department is home to a dedicated team of academics committed to teaching, research and knowledge exchange that lead a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, many of which have professional accreditations.

You will demonstrate a commitment to high quality teaching and learning and experience of degree apprenticeships and transnational education would be expected. You should be willing to share the University’s core values of creating a learning environment that is inclusive, challenging and promotes collaboration, professionalism and confidence.

You will demonstrate highly effective leadership skills and will have extensive knowledge and understanding of business education provision within a higher education business school context. You will have experience of providing effective leadership in a higher education setting, research and publications and of working in collaboration with employers, funding agencies, research partners and wider stakeholders.

Reporting to the Associate Director of the Business School, the role will be based in Wolverhampton, but you will be expected to work with our regional learning centres in Stafford, Telford and Hereford as well as nationally and internationally.
