The University of Wolverhampton Business School is seeking to appoint an academic staff member to the new post of Reader in Business. You will contribute to the provision of high quality research and teaching, the maintenance of high academic standards, the development of the Faculty’s portfolio of courses and generation of external income. You should have a PhD in a Business discipline and a track record of publications that can make a significant contribution to a successful outcome for any periodic research assessment exercise e.g. REF through research outputs and impact case studies as well as a track record of successful PhD supervision.

Established for over 80 years, we have supported the development of leaders, managers and organisations. We were one of the first business schools in the country to offer MBA programmes, coaching and mentoring qualifications and we have a tradition of innovation. We have extensive business networks and work collaboratively with a wide range of professional bodies.

Following a period of sustained success in recruitment, student satisfaction and business engagement, the Business School has recently completed a £19 million investment in its facilities. In the last REF, 79% of our research was judged to be of internationally recognised standard and higher. The University is committed to investments to further enhance the School’s research.

The role will be based in Wolverhampton, but you are expected to work with our regional learning centres as well as nationally and internationally.
