**Role Purpose**

The Collaborations and Business Development is looking to recruit a Collaborations Coordinator to be responsible for the management of all elements linked to external validated delivery on behalf of The University of Buckingham. You will represent The University of Buckingham externally to partners, ensuring that they are following and adhering to The University of Buckingham’s policies and procedures.

**Role Purpose**:
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the University externally to current and prospective collaborative partners.
- Ensure that collaborative partners are following and adhering to the University of Buckingham’s policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance to academic and administrative staff on collaborative procedures.
- Conduct analysis, present results and propose partnerships, projects or recommendations through briefings, presentations and written reports to support and lead on informed decision making in line with the departments strategic objectives.
- Liaise and co-ordinate activities with a colleagues and departments across the university and collaborative partners to deliver objectives.
- Liaise with Academic Link Tutors and other Faculty Study staff on academic matters relating to specific collaborative partners.
- Service and when required chair committees, being responsible for taking minutes, circulation of documents and in drafting and preparing reports.
- Co-ordination of the External Examiners and prepare the EE Report for Senate annually.

**Skills & Experience**:
Experience and Knowledge
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- The ability to work to high level of accuracy.
- Be able to work as part of a team but also have the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge and skills equivalent to a formal/specialist qualification plus relevant work experience.
- Good office IT skills with the ability to utilise video conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
- Ideally have current experience or a good awareness of the OfS Conditions for Registration, UK Quality Code and the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications
- The ability to communicate information, both orally and in writing, which requires careful explanation and interpretation, taking into account what to communicate and how best to convey the information. Information will be specialist/non-routine in nature and may include: explaining policies and detailed procedures to others.
- The ability to proactively and reactively liaise with both internal and external contacts in order to build relationships, disseminate information and co-ordinate activities in a timely and effective manner.
- The ability to make timely and considered decisions (independent, collaborative and advisory).
- The ability to use initiative and creativity, drawing on experience and expertise, to resolve standard problems which require a process of reasoning, weighing up of various approaches and/or which must be broken down into component parts.
