- Friday 8am-4pm/ 9am-5pm

**What you’ll be responsible for**:
- Co-ordinate and be responsible for the provision of full secretarial and administrative services to the clinical team
- Take a lead role in the management of lists and clinics, ensuring that all patients are seen within the required time scales and in accordance with NHS targets and Trust policies.
- Take appropriate action to ensure that requests for diagnostics and follow-up appointments are processed in a timely fashion
- Comply fully with elective access policy; i.e. The Specialty Coordinator will also operate a failsafe system whereby every patient is regularly reviewed and monitored to assess where they are in their appropriate pathway e.g., timescale for referred tests and procedures, chasing departments if necessary for results.
- Validate patients on the waiting list regularly as policy, actioning and recording all outcomes and removing patients from the waiting list where indicated
**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:
- Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous experience within NHS
- Previous admin experience
- NHS System Knowledge
- EPR (desirable)
- This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years administration experience._
