**About Us**
The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) is funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). The role will be to provide administrative and coordination support to the PPIE team to enable meaningful integration of public voice in the NIHR’s funding decision-making processes. This is a vital task that requires a high degree of operational efficiency and excellent people skills. As a member of the PPIE team, you will interact with a broad range of people at all levels, including members of the public, programme teams, programme directors, committee members, NIHR colleagues and the research community.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Supporting learning and development sessions for public contributors, public involvement and engagement leads or researchers including identifying suitable dates and booking rooms/virtual meeting spaces, providing troubleshooting advice to participants in virtual meetings, managing venue arrangements including room set-up at face-to-face meetings, liaising with attendees, running presentation slides, note taking and arranging disposal of confidential papers on conclusion of the learning and development sessions.
- Providing an administrative resource for the PPIE Team, including: organising and supporting internal meetings, supporting processes around payment for public members, managing the electronic filing system and supporting archiving of closed files.
- Managing the PPIE team mailbox and acting as a key contact point for enquiries related to public involvement and engagement opportunities or processes.
- Support monitoring of awards including assisting with maintaining team dashboard and spreadsheets containing progress reports and case studies from award holders, and logging publications on involvement and engagement.
- Maintaining electronic, paper and website records with accurate uptodate information on payment for involvement and resources to support the public review process.
- Operate as a flexible resource within the PPIE team e.g. providing support to projects and performing data analysis

**Qualifications** Required Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills**:

- At least 12 months’ administrative, secretariat, project or process-driven experience, preferably in an area relevant to this role (grant funding, research or health-related administration environment)
- An excellent command of written and spoken English _(essential)_
- Educated to a minimum of A-level standard

**Additional Information** Salary & Benefits**
£30,100 - £31,700 PA
