The Role:
As a Local Area Coordinator you are expected to be responsible for providing support for students and host families on an ad hoc basis. There is a duality to this role in that you will be directly interacting with and supporting students, whilst supporting local host families under the guidance of the main office. This is a flexible role, and you do not have a caseload of students or hosts but would support as directed by the main office as demand requires.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Care and support of students enrolled in UK day or boarding schools. You will act as their local contact and support mechanism as requested.
- Update main office after each support service via formal and informal channels (Podio & WeChat).
- Visit students as directed for parents evenings and the arrival date;
- Providing parents evening meeting notes for our central team;
- Providing photos of the students in line with our policies;
- Organising student’s birthday celebrations as directed;
- Emergency visit to students requested by the central team;
- Any additional responsibilities requested by the central team;
- You may also support local host families as required by the central team.

Essential Requirements & Experience:

- Time management skills and proven ability to balance workload and use initiative
- Experience of using Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of UK Safeguarding laws
- Must live in easily commutable area to the are they are supporting.

Desirable Requirements & Experience:

- Previous experience with students studying at independent schools
- Previous experience of host families/hosting students
- Knowledge of international students and their needs

Safeguarding Responsibilities:
When undertaking this role with Oxbridge Group Ltd (Oxbridge Guardians and Aspired Education) you are agreeing to uphold and maintain our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy. All staff have a responsibility to ensure they’re working in line with our code of conduct at all times, and acting in the best interests of students, and Oxbridge Group Ltd.

Staff have the responsibility to report any safeguarding concerns through the proper channels. Any
Safeguarding Concerns should be communicated directly with the Designated Safeguarding Lead

Reporting within the Organisation

Due to the size of the company, the management reporting systems are simple and straightforward.
All queries and concerns should be reported to your Line Manager or the DSL.

Location

Oxbridge Group Ltd (Oxbridge Guardians and Aspired Education) work across the UK to deliver the correct support to students and host families attending schools. Whilst the main office is based in
Clapham Junction, London, there are also bases in local areas across the UK.

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £12.00-£25.00 per hour
