**Head of Sales**

**Location: Ascot**

**Salary: £84,000 + commission + company car (£120,000 Realistic)**

**Position: Full-time**

My client is looking for a natural sales leader with at least 8 years’ experience in a senior sales team leading position with an extensive track record in building and leading AV sales targeting major organisations/accounts.

You will have responsibility for setting the strategy, planning and organisation/recruitment of the sales team, proactively driving and guiding the team to acquire new business to increase market share and revenue opportunities at every possible touchpoint.

You’ll have an excellent knowledge of the AV market and execute a tailored strategy and approach to win business for both short-and long-term gain.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead and develop Sales team.
- Develop sales execution, strategies and plans for evangelising and expanding the company’s AV business to achieve the company’s aggressive revenue
- and profit growth objectives in UK markets.
- Work closely with Customer Services to maximise customer retention and renewals
- Recruit Sales staff with the support of the HR team
- Define and oversee incentive programs that support the attainment of company sales objectives and motivate the sales team to achieve their individual sales targets.
- Work closely and cooperatively with Marketing, Customer Services and Product Management to define and refine the value proposition and lead generation programs for existing and new AV offerings.
- Develop a close working relationship with Product Management to help evolve the product strategy and direction based on market and customer developments.
- Manage the overall sales process, set and manage appropriate metrics for sales funnel management.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
- Assist in the budget planning process, specifically in sales forecasting and sales pipeline management.
- Be the lead on driving the top line, and share in achieving the bottom-line objectives.
- Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential, ensuring outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners.
- Constantly review the relevant infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function.
- Understand the CRM system and the integration with other areas/systems
- Be a role model for the company culture and an ambassador in all external engagements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.

**Skills**
- 10+ years overall sales experience, min 8 years in a senior leading role of which 5+ years in AV
- A versatile player-coach able to lead, build and develop a team of AV Salespeople and be able and willing to directly manage relationships with large accounts
- Large enterprise sales experience in sales cycles of three to six months and an average deal size of £50K - £300K per sale
- Proven ability to present, negotiate and influence at C-level of large corporations and closing deals.
- Experience in scaling a sales team for rapid business growth
- Own working experience with a company growing from £20M - £50M+
- Proven track record of growing AV business with a Sales team at this or higher level
- Ideally having established contacts and relationships in e.g. Healthcare, Video/Film/TV production, Defence/Security and/or Finance
- Commitment to exceed customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
- Ability to plan and manage both at strategic and operational level
- International experience and a good level of cultural understanding
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience and proven ability to work with channel partners
- Demonstrates a customer first approach and is proactive in resolving any challenge
- Familiar with CRM systems (MS Dynamics experience highly desirable) Sales enablement systems etc.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
