Medical Education Co-Ordinator Band 4 - 22.5 hours available - based at CIC

The Postgraduate Medical Education Co-Ordinator will provide support to the senior Medical Education Team to develop all educational opportunities/activities in Medical Education and support delivery of the educational framework for the Foundation Programme.

To co-ordinate Medical Education, including learning provision for foundation doctors, trainers (Clinical and Educational Supervisors) in all specialties across the Trust.

The post holder will administer study leave for all training grade doctors ensuring that guidelines are applied appropriately in relation to funding and the use of external IT systems.

The post holder will be responsible for the supervision of administrative staff.

The post holder will be required to attend external venues for meetings/training events.

A different working pattern may be required at peak times e.g. inductions and when post graduate doctors in training on placement.

To provide daily support/training and advice to foundation doctors in relation to their e-portfolio (HORUS) to document evidence of training outcomes during their foundation years to support their annual review of competency progression (ARCP) to qualify for GMC full registration licence to practice.

Administer all aspects of the Foundation Programme rotations (84 foundation doctors across foundation years 1 and 2)

To maintain the Medical Education intranet/website in collaboration with Medical Education Manager, Admin Lead for Foundation and Medical Education Leads
