**Manthorpe Building Products** is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of plastic injection moulded, vacuum formed and extruded products for the building industry.

We are currently recruiting for a Planning and Procurement Lead to join the team, working Monday - Friday full time based at our Ripley site.

As Planning and Procurement Lead you will be responsible for ensuring production plan in place that satisfies customer demand on time and in full (OTIF), and meets other business needs, i.e. health and safety, OEE. Utilise IFS, Mattec and Microsoft Office to communicate the plan effectively to stakeholders in a timely manner. Work closely with other departments to ensure issues relating to the plan are addressed. Work cross functionally on continuous improvement projects.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Responsibility for the availability of components and finished goods in order to achieve an OTIF service level to our customers.
- Ensure all departments have a production plan issued in a timely manner, that satisfies customer needs, whilst also maintaining targeted production outputs and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Work with the team on projects that will enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Take responsibility for the accuracy of IFS data, and continuously improve said data, routing, safety stock, pallet quantities and standard order quantities.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement in the key areas of planning, procurement, stock holding and delivery performance. Track progress in key areas via a comprehensive range of KPIs, including stock holding and OTIF.
- Foster an open approach and communication style towards colleagues. Role model behaviour. Pursue regular communication routes.
- Develop opportunities for cost savings, via purchasing and production continuous improvement initiatives.
- Fully utilise and take ownership of the IFS ERP system for purchasing via MRP.
- Working closely with the Internal Sales team to ensure that all deviations from 100% OTIF performance are understood and actions taken to prevent repeat occurrences.
- Creation of new products on IFS including, routings, sales and inventory parts.
- Actioning any negative stock where customer demand exceeds current stock holding on a daily basis
- Liaising with accounts department to resolve any price discrepancies.
- Delivering monthly and weekly reports to management team.
- Ensuring system integrity relating to raw material and suppliers is maintained to the highest level
- Communicating with internal departments to advise of delivery dates or supplier issues
- Ensure compliance with Manthorpe’s ISO 9001 for quality, ISO 14001 for environment and ISO 45001 for Health and Safety.

**Requirements**:

- In depth understanding of purchasing and planning processes and techniques.
- Ability to communicate at all levels and facilitate the passage and receipt of information.
- Proven track record in the use of an ERP system including MRP.
- Passion for customer service, cost and stock reductions and a track record of continuous improvement.
