Are you a seasoned developer looking for a challenging role that will allow you to showcase your skills?

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Node.js Developer to join our client in Ripley, Derbyshire. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for taking over the development of a 20-module system from an outsourced agency and bringing it in-house.

Company Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a great company in Derbyshire, where you will have the autonomy to build a greenfield application from scratch as a sole developer. You will be working closely with different departments to gather their requirements and build out the system using Node, Next.js, Vercel, and other web technologies.

This is important work that will benefit greatly from having you on board, and leadership opportunities are also available as the company plans to hire a more junior dev to join you after you're settled in.

Key Responsibilities
  • To take over the development of a 20-module system from an outsourced agency and bring it in-house.
  • To work closely with different departments to gather their requirements and build out the system using Node, Next.js, Vercel, and other web technologies.
  • To build a greenfield application from scratch as a sole developer.
  • To work autonomously and make decisions based on your own judgment.
  • To lead and mentor a more junior developer who will be joining the team after you're bedded in.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in full-stack development.
  • Strong knowledge of Node.js, Next.js, Vercel, and other web technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience.
