We are looking for a Claims Handler for the Alternative Risk Transfer Line of Business (ART LoB) (M/F/d), based in London.
This is a temporary position for 1 year.

**The Impact You Will Have**
Reporting to the Head of Claims ART LoB, you will handle claims in the context of the run-off of our Capital Solutions business segment (predominantly 100% fronted NatCat claims) within the Alternative Risk Transfer LoB. You will ensure all claims are within authority limits and in line with Allianz Claims standards, procedures and guidelines, and Liaise with other functions to ensure timely and accurate Claims administration.
**Some of your specific responsibilities could include**:
Input and maintain accurate claims records for designated accounts, within appropriate Allianz and ART LoB Claims specific administration systems.
Investigate Capital Solutions claims, including coverage determination and evaluation of loss exposures in close colaboration with brokers and business partners.
Determine and ensure appropriate reserving levels in close colaboration with Senior Claims team members and Investors Relationship Managment (IRM) and the Actuarial Function.
Support negotiation to ensure efficient settlements.
Contribute to periodic internal and external reporting (e.g. monthly or quarterly status reports).
Ensure all claims handled within authority limits, and in line with Allianz Claims standards procedures and guidelines. Refer cases outside of authority level.
Communicate with brokers and/or and business partners and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. third party adjusters).
**What You’ll Bring to the Role**
First experience in dealing with claims. Knowledge of insurance policies, claims processes, and industry terminology is desirable.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and ideally (but this is not a must) experience with claims management systems (e.g., Global Genius, Claws).
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with external parties and internal team members, in English.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities or situations.
Positive team spirit, at ease handling remote collaboration & relationships.
