**Post: Sessional Project Worker**

Location: Dumfries and Annan Resource Centres

**Salary**: Per annum £23K pro rata (Holiday rate is to be paid at 12.07%)

Hours: Flexible from 7 hours per week but can be up to 35h based on requirement to cover leave

Contract: 3-6 months

Reporting to: Josey Vickers/Euan MacLean

Join us in Dumfries and Annan to support people coming to our Resource centres.

Facilitating activities to help improve health and wellbeing of people affected by mental illnesses, you will be a valued team member to offer support over the busy months of summer.

**Purpose of Post**

The overall aim of the Sessional worker’s post is to encourage and enable service users to become involved in a range of activities that enhance their employability skills, their quality of life, and their personal potential.

**Main Tasks**

1 To help facilitate with activities and project resources.

2 To develop a supportive, honest relationship with individuals who use the Change Mental Health services.

3 To liaise with and promote access to all relevant community resources and agencies.

4 To ensure that the health and safety aspects of activity involvement (including risk assessment of external activities) are undertaken.

5 To be responsible for, and maintaining, appropriate project activity resources.

6 To be responsible for reporting any issues pertaining to concerns about an individual’s health and well being, health and safety issues or equal opportunities to the line manager.

**General**

1 To maintain attendance and other monitoring records for the project.

2 To attend regular supervision with the line manager.

3 To effectively support the active equal opportunities policy.

4 To comply with all necessary health and safety requirements.

5 To work out of hours as required providing a flexible service.

6 To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested by the line manager.
