We're working with a commercial law firm that is hiring a Compliance Assistant to join their growing compliance team in Milton Keynes. This role would be perfect for somebody already in a Compliance Assistant role looking to get involved in wider areas ofcompliance, a legal assistant interested in making a significant impact on a firm or a law graduate keen to kick-start their career in compliance.

For this role, you will need excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, as well as good attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

Ideally, you should have experience working within a law firm or another regulated environment.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

- Inputting data for all new clients and matters
- Gathering missing information from clients
- Onboarding new clients efficiently
- Conducting AML checks using third-party systems
- Assisting with CDD on new and existing clients in accordance with policies and procedures
- Conducting internal conflicts of interest checks and recording results
- Drafting engagement documents
- Staying up to date with AML regulation changes
- Managing the file closing process, including liaising with colleagues, the finance team, and clients, and updating records
