Role Overview

A typical day as a Admin / Receptionist will be supporting the practice with the smooth running of the practice. You’ll be required to book and amend appointments whilst answering the phone and updating patient records. You will also need to handle payments. You will also be in charge of distributing incoming and outgoing post and monitoring the machine usage.

In this role, you’ll be benefiting from an experienced practice team, exceptional development and opportunities to take you as far as you want to go. You’ll get to meet and greet patients on a daily basis and provide them with a great first impression. You will need to have access to sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality.

What You’ll Do:

- Ensuring customer reports are dispatched from centres within the desired time frame. This includes effective management of abnormal results
- Ensure all customers have the correct paperwork to support their visit - appointment packs (where applicable), clinical file preparation and consent forms
- Liaise closely with clinical colleagues to ensure that client reports are issued within the required time frames
- Assist in bookings of appointments.
- Monitor stocks and order goods when required.
- Process invoices/delivery notes as per Bupa policy
- Play an active part in ensuring well-presented facilities through pro-activity and effective escalation as and when required.

What You’ll Bring:

- Ability to keep calm and professional in a fast paced environment
- Previous administration or reception experience
- Personable, positive and enthusiastic with a great customer focus
- Efficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Strong communication and organisation skills
