**Role**: The Chamber’s mission is to drive growth among businesses of all sizes and sectors across the Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield districts by providing relevant and valuable support and benefits to members. The customer service advisor will be responsible for providing administrative support for the membership, marketing & events team and wider organisation where appropriate.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Maintain membership records and marketing databases supporting lead generation using Microsoft Dynamics
- Identify and generate leads to increase membership revenue
- Respond promptly to enquiries from members and prospective members
- Schedule appointments with members and membership leads for membership executives
- Assist in maintaining relationships with renewing members in line with documented member journey
- Contribute to regular communications (digital, print and on the phone) to members in line with the member journey
- Assist with management of the Chamber social media platforms and website updates
- Assist the membership executives in event management including;
- Maintaining event listings
- Producing event collateral as required
- Pre and post event contact with attendees
- Maintaining relevant reports and evaluation data
- Create and maintain a file of venue information including; contact details, location, capacity, catering options and cost etc.
- Attend events where appropriate/when needed
- Identify relevant external events and book for membership executives to attend
- Work with relevant departments to keep records and produce reports showing the results of recruitment and retention activity, marketing campaigns, member involvement and non-renewals. Supporting Chamber member market research in areas such as member benefit analysis, member satisfaction surveys, member needs assessment and competition analysis
- Remain current with Chamber policies, procedures and membership offering and promote the services and benefits in a positive and enthusiastic manner
- Perform other related, ad-hoc duties as required

**Personal Profile**

**Essential**
- Good knowledge of administration
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments, members, non-members and suppliers
- Strong organisational skills
- Good written and oral communication
- Confident telephone manner
- Strong attention to detail
- IT literate: familiar with using Microsoft software packages including Word, Excel and Dynamics as well Sage accounting software
- Professional manner and attitude
- Proactive not reactive
- Self-starter able to work with mínimal supervision
- GCSEs in Maths and English
- Flexible and willing to take on additional roles and responsibilities to support the wider Chamber team when required

**Desirable**
- Knowledge of Chamber ethos or membership based organisations
- Experience in events planning
- Experience in marketing including social media management and Mailchimp
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for business use

**Salary**: From £18,000.00 per year
