Credit Controller

Headlam Plc is a distributor of floorcoverings trading under multiple brands across the length of the UK. Joining a team consisting of 3, each Credit Controller will be responsible for their own business
This is an important role in the finance team with a strong focus on customer service and support of the company’s commercial teams.
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Releasing orders
- Administration of customer accounts
- Day to day admin - Copy invoices, statements, trade references
- Resolving queries
- Liaising with Sales Reps and working closely with the customer service team
- Taking credit card payments
- Allocating and posting cheques, card, branch & bank banking
- Chasing remittance advices for unallocated cash
- Cash collection monthly bonus
- 28 days annual leave plus 7 public holidays
**Requirements**:
(E.g. experience, qualifications, etc)
- Credit Control Experience (although needn’t be current)
- Strong experience in a customer service environment is essential
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Team player but also self motivated to ensure delivery of own targets
- Organised
- Good telephone manner
- Ability to work to daily deadlines
