Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust are now recruiting for an exciting new role - Head of Volunteering. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Head of Volunteering will lead on the creation of our volunteering strategy and develop our volunteer vision across the organisation.

**About the Role**

As Head of Volunteering working in the People & Culture team, you will ensure the provision and strategic development of our volunteering services across our hospices, shops, fundraising services and central teams. Using your significant experience of leading organsiational wide volunteering services and working in partnership with our senior leadership team, you will create a compelling volunteer value proposition and strategy that allows us to attract, grow and retain a network of highly skilled and dedicated volunteers to grow our service.

You’ll focus on the end-to-end volunteer experience journey, from attraction and recruiting to learning and progression. You’ll engender a curious mindset to explore how volunteering may have a greater impact to the charity. You’ll ensure that the voices of children and families influence our volunteer service delivery and strategy.

**About You**

You will have experience of the development and delivery of volunteering services across large complex multi-site operations with experience of recruiting, supporting and training volunteers. You’ll have worked at a senior level and have experience of implementing and maintaining effective volunteer deployment plans to ensure the requirements of all services are met.

You will have the ability to travel independently across the Acorns region.

**What We Offer**
- £45k - 55k per annum (plus car allowance of £3,192)
- Based in Wythall (B47 6JR) with some home working and travel to sites
