**Job Context**

Our Maintenance Co-ordinator is an essential member of the operations and programmes teams. They help the teams provide exceptional service to everyone that walks through the doors, staff, visitors, artists, and contractors alike, by making sure they get the best possible impression of the building is made, and that the time spent with us is safe and their needs are met.

**Principle Purpose**

To ensure the building is always presented in the best possible light and is safe for use. As the Health and Safety Officer (0.5) to lead on ensuring each activity and space has adequately risk assessments in place. To undertake small scale building investment works.

**Operational Tasks and Accountabilities**
- Leading on and organising the Building Maintenance Programme. This involves working with the Operations Manager to resolve immediate building issues and maintaining all maintenance contacts with suppliers.
- Joint Health and Safety Officer (0.5) with the Operations Manager
- Creating and implementing maintenance procedures.
- Small scale maintenance to the front exterior of the building to improve curb appeal.
- In partnership with the Community and Events Co-ordinator, to facilitate the Outdoor Performance Programme as required including annual outdoor street arts festivals.
- Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems. To ensure all Déda equipment and systems are maintained, and PAT tested and provide long/short term planning for building improvements and equipment purchases.
- Carry out basic DIY repairs to the fabric of the building and domestic light maintenance and set up repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates.
- To liaise with cleaners as directed by the Operations Manager
- Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance.
- Planning and managing all repair and installation activities.
- Ensuring all staff and workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
- Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
- Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary.

**Cross company obligations**
- To support Déda’s action plan to reduce carbon emissions and protect the environment.
- To manage and update the Health and Safety policy and procedures and to participate in meetings and report any Health and Safety issues in a timely manner.
- To contribute to the diversity and inclusivity action plan and comply with policies.

**Other**
- To attend staff Déda events as required
- To undertake any other related tasks as required
- To work some weekends and evenings as required by your duties.

**Job Type**: Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £13,547.00 per year
