General Ledger Accountant

We are recruiting an immediately available General Ledger Accountant for a temporary assignment with an e-commerce retailer of high-end consumer electronics (B2C and B2B). This is a remote role. You can be based anywhere as long as you can travel to theirCentral London office when needed. 1-2 days per month maximum.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the month-end closes on schedule; consolidation of UK and International entities.
- Complete monthly general ledger reconciliations in a timely manner for all entities.
- Balance sheet reconciliations completed; identify and resolve any financial issues.
- Intrastat, VAT and PAYE returns.
- Update and review of the cash flow forecasting model on a weekly basis (analysis of weekly completed sales figures).
- Weekly sales and margin reporting; delivery of the weekly trading report.
- Liaising with budget holders to review/understand department performance and identify risks/opportunities to meet agreed targets.
- Maintain the fixed asset register for all entities.
- Stock reconciliation including ensuring that the annual stock take is completed.
**Personal profile**:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified accountant with at least two years of post-qualified experience as a Financial Accountant.
- Able to demonstrable a high degree of technical accounting proficiency with strong balance sheet control and a good working knowledge of stock control/management (retail / e-commerce).
- Ideally your experience will have been gained across large company (financial best practice) and hands on SME.
- A strong working knowledge of Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, as a minimum) is essential.
- A good leader with a hands on approach, you must be excellent interpersonally.
- Well organised with a high attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
