**Job Overview**:
To manage and supervise directly employed and subcontract labour, leading on mechanical services, within a busy acute hospital estate, ensuring compliance and satisfactory work standards across the healthcare engineering disciplines. Maintaining accurate documentation and record keeping to provide accountability and compliance to statutory and contractual compliance.

**Main Duties**

To review PPM and reactive work sheets to determine if works are complete or require follow on works. Monitor attendance times to ensure KPIs, SLAs and contractual requirements are achieved. To author and review risk assessments and method statements to enable H&S, QHSE, COSHH and safe working practices are adhered to.Water hygiene. To ensure that the site potable water is safe and healthy, free of legionella, pseudomonas to ACoP L8, TM13 and best practices. Take on role as RP (Water) Wastewater. To ensure drainage and waste routes are in a fit state for purpose to prevent contamination, infection spread. Heating. To ensure the heating system and all its components are operating correctly and achieving the desired effects to decrease potential for unavailability of areas. Ventilation. To ensure ventilation plant is operating correctly to comply with HTMs, COSHH and Workplace, Health, Safety and Welfare regs. Take on role as AP (Ventilation) to prevent single point of failure as AE has discussed. Pressure systems. To maintain the PSSR 2000 regulations logbook and all pressure system PPMs and reactive calls to maintain a safe and compliant system. Undertake training in relevant Authorised Person duties, work in in accordance with HTMs, HBNs, BE EN ISO, statutory and codes of practice, IOSH managing safely. Be familiar with a BMS, CAFM system, PUWER, PSSR, LOLER. Lifts. To ensure that passenger, goods and patient lifting equipment is maintained to LOLER, PUWER regulations. Take on role of AP (Lifts) as there is a single point of failure as AE audit found. Provide support and assistance to colleagues, clients, and participate in an on-call rota.

**What we are looking for**:
An mechanical trades engineer with preferably water hygiene, plumbing, heating, ventilation experience. Flexible, adaptable and able to work on their own and as part of a busy Estates team. Awareness of budgets, HR, H&S and statutory regulations of the job description.
