Estates Officer Property Band6- 37.5 hours - CIC

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estates Officer Property to join the busy Estates Team based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.

The Estates Department is responsible for maintaining and repairing all Trust buildings, services and equipment for properties.

As the Estates Officer Property you will be responsible for the management of the Minor Works Requisition and Additional Works Requests System within both PFI hospitals, assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the new Property Management System for the Trust’s Estate, the Project Management of Minor Capital Schemes as well as responding to day to day Estates queries.

You will also be able to demonstrate experience of managing a heavy workload in an Estate related environment along with leadership abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in working in a similar environment and hold a minimum qualification of a Degree in an Estates related discipline. Ideally you should also have experience in the use of Autocad or other similar CAD package.

The Estates Officer Property is primarily responsible for leading on the management, auditing and monitoring of the PFI Contract in relation to the day to day Estates and Facilities requirements. The role will also be responsible for the delivery of small projects on the Trust’s none PFI Estate throughout Cumbria and assisting with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Trust Property Management system.

The role is central to providing assurances to the Trust and ensuring that contracts and services are delivered in line with statutory and mandatory legislation, contractual specifications, respective SLA’s, KPI’s etc.

**Key responsibilities of the role are**:

- Monitoring the performance of the PFI Contracts.
- Managing the PFI Change Request and Minor Works processes ensuring all requests follow the agreed procedure and timescale and quality standards are achieved.
- Resolving operational queries and issues and acting as the day to day point of contact for respective contracts and services.
- Assisting in the production of operational, commercial and compliance documentation.
- The Project Management of small schemes from inception to completion ensuring compliance with statutory and legislative requirements and that quality standards, financial management and programme targets are achieved.
- Assist in the implementation and ongoing management of the new Property management system currently being procured by the Trust
