Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at an international Defence and Weapons Systems Company. As a key member of the Mechanical Engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting technical changes to existing company products and contributing to the development of new defence and weapons platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain design documentation to ensure safe and effective design solutions.
  • Specify and assist in the build of prototypes, products, and systems for testing.
  • Provide timely corrective actions on assigned defects and issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers on technical matters and provide guidance on design and testing.
  • Make presentations to technical and management audiences on novel technical concepts and markets.

Requirements:

  • Degree-level education in Engineering, Mechanical, or Science subjects.
  • Ability to design documentation and present to customers and wider groups.
  • Proficiency in CAD, MS Office, and other IT applications.
  • Engineering Lifecycle background and experience with complex engineering calculations.
