An experienced and qualified Learning Support Advisor/Mentor required to support students with learning and wellbeing. Working with individuals and small groups to facilitate the capacity for autonomous learning in all students, particularly those with additional support needs. To work proactively with students to build resilience, providing pastoral support and building peer support networks. A great opportunity to make a real difference to students within a military prepartion training college in Gloucester.

**Role Information**
- We require a Male LSA/Mentor to support a complex needs learner with theory and GCSE English.
- The Additional Learner Support Advisor/Mentor role is a diverse, hands-on role where you be working independently and also with the Academy team. You will have responsibility for (but not exhaustive to):

- Supporting and assisting learners with the additional learning needs
- To establish constructive and effective working relationships with learners and to interact with them according to their individual needs, and to help build their confidence and enhance self-esteem
- Encourage a positive learning experience for learners to achieve their full potential.
- Monitor progress and maintain up to date records of learner progress
- Liaise with external agencies and parents/Carers to provide a collaborative approach for the learners
- Be fully committed to the safeguarding of learners
- Assist with the annual review process
- Work alongside the SENCO
- Follow the ethos and values of the Military Academy
- Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours
- Promote equal opportunities and recognition of diversity throughout the company
- Comply with the Safeguarding, Prevent and Health and Safety Policies and be vigilant to potential concerns and risks at all times
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Provide learners, customers and colleagues with support, advice guidance as part of your everyday role
