An opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic Data Quality Improvement Officers to join the Corporate Access Team.
The post holders will provide support to the DQ validation Officers. The primary role will be to contribute to the validation of a number of Data Quality Reports to ensure patients are externally and internally reported in line with Trust Policy, Local or National Standards and in particular the Referral to Treatment (RTT) target.
Validation work will also be undertaken on Non-RTT patients and any other validation leading up to month end master files, ensuring the data quality of all submissions are maintained and are accurate at all times.
The post holders will also be expected to share learning and expertise across the organisation and work within the corporate teams supporting various projects where necessary, with an aim to actively reduce patients waiting times and improve data quality and patient flow.
If you are ambitious, committed to your own personal development and would like the challenge of undertaking this role, we would love to hear from you.
- You will have good knowledge of 18 weeks RTT rules and use them to manage all patient pathways.
- Ensure Trust systems are updated with the correct RTT and non-RTT status codes by interpreting the clinic letters to the correct code - identifying and escalating key areas for training to ensure high data quality is maintained.
- To ensure the highest level of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, patient focused and knowledgeable point of contact.
- To support, analyse, investigate, validate and monitor the Trust’s Access Performance, escalating breaching patients for action and to identify where backlogs are growing.
- Aim for data entry being correct first time, every time and on time.
- Manages own workload and prioritises, including acting independently within clearly defined occupational policies, in line with appraisal objectives ensuring absolute confidentiality at all times.
- You will be expected to actively participate in the Trust appraisal process.
- Exercise independent judgement and initiative when problems arise, taking the necessary actions to resolve the problems or referring to the appropriate person.
- To support the NHS workforce modernisation agenda which aims to increase quality, efficiency and productivity through harnessing new ways of working like aiming towards modernising patient pathways by using more electronic systems - aiming to be paperless.
