Quality Improvement is a core competence for our staff, and the post-holder will attend quality improvement training and support improvement initiatives in their area of work, as well as empowering and enabling others in their efforts to improve service and care quality. The job requires innovation, flexibility, and commitment and the post holderwill be required to work resourcefully as part of the team to ensure tasks are completed. Working alongside the Quality Lead, Clinical Leads, clinicians and Data Quality Assistant, the post holder will: Work as a member of the Quality Team, providing advice and expertise to assist in improving healthcare by contributing to the improvement of data entered onto the organisations Electronic Patient Record (EPR) called SystmOne.

Ongoing monitoring where data quality issues are known to improve performance indicators. Dealing with telephone and electronic enquires from external and internal sources as appropriate. Assist with the set up and smooth running of the monthly Quality Meetings, preparing agendas, audits and SEA documentation for speakers. Ensure initial reports/documentation are provided as requested, within timescales set.

Assist with the development and update any action plans associated with the job role. To support reporters of incidents and risks to ensure appropriate information is submitted electronically. Assist in collation of the lessons learnt from adverse events. Input data submissions electronically on CQRS when required.

Working alongside the Quality Manager & Director of Finance to ensure reflected of payments due. Assist with process mapping exercises to implement service improvement outcomes Learn and understand SystmOne by attending training sessions to ensure you can provide assistance to users in the organisation. Support the administration teams with patient information collation, storing and Subject Access Requests as appropriate to support patient safety, clinical excellence, and the delivery of a positive patient experience Attend Information Governance training, acting as a point of contact within the organisation. Develop and distribute regular Quality bulletins throughout the organisation.

Communication The post-holder should recognise the importance of effective communication within the team and will strive to: Communicate effectively with other team members Communicate effectively with patients and carers Recognise peoples needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly General Development and Improvement Responsibilities Be aware of our national and local requirements. Be aware of developments within the ICB digital Service, attend the Digital Service Reference Group (DSGR) meetings. Manage and prioritise own work to deliver agreed programmes on time and in full. Attend and complete all mandatory training and Bevan induction programme.

Participate annually in identifying, developing and agreeing your own development plan with your Line Manager using the organisations Appraisal. Comply with all organisational policies, procedures and protocols. Seek advice and support from your Line Manager whenever necessary. Maintain professional conduct.

Carry out any other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the grade at your line managers request. All employees of the organisation have a responsibility for their own health and wellbeing, to inform their manager and seek timely support via the organisations People Team if appropriate. All employees have a responsibility to respond to any Safeguarding Children or Adult concerns that you encounter in your everyday duties. You must report any concerns as appropriate to your immediate & the relevant Safeguarding Lead within the organisation.

All staff must be familiar with and comply with the contents of Information Governance What you will learn from this role After completing this apprenticeship with Bevan, we expect you to have the skills to be able to support the following areas: Undertake ad hoc data analysis required using data query tools and spreadsheets to extract and manipulate the information. Design and create, using data analytical and reporting performance monitoring reports to support the performance management of the healthcare provided. Support template design, protocols and patient status alerts within SystmOne to improve data entry. Becoming the SystmOne expert.

Support the maintaining of monitoring reports making necessary alternations to the design when requested by and agreed with the Quality Manager. Establish and maintain links with clinical staff & non-clinical staff in order to obtain reliable information flows to populate the monitoring report.
