Independent Sexual Violence Advisor

**Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)**
- This post is restricted to women only, under Schedule 9, part 1, Equality Act 2010_
**Salary**:£25,591 - £26,870 per annum
**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week
**Responsible to**: Team Leader
**Accountable to**: Service and Training Manager
**Key Responsibilities**
To provide practical and emotional support, information and advocacy to survivors of sexual violence (of any gender) through the criminal justice process in line with both Home Office ISVA Guidelines and GRASAC policies and procedures.
To communicate with other professionals including police, Witness Service and The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in providing appropriate and consistent support to enable clients to continue through the criminal justice system.
To advocate on behalf of clients in their best interest including signposting and enabling them to access services with partner agencies as needed.
**Service Delivery**
1. Manage a caseload of clients, predominantly women and girls, who have been affected by sexual violence.
3. To deliver a professional service, with kindness and without judgement whilst communicating clear boundaries.
4. Provide information and support to clients in relation to Criminal Injuries Compensation (CICA).
5. To prioritize, assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of support to an agreed and expected high standard.
6. To work closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
**Service Development**
1. To seek out all relevant partner agencies to inform of GRASAC services and to source appropriate outreach venues for face-to-face support work.
2. To build effective and positive relationships with local partner agencies in Gloucestershire.
**Quality Assurance/ Training**
1. To ensure that the services provided are within agreed organisational policy and procedures.
2. To proactively maintain professional knowledge and practice.
3. Attend and contribute to team meetings.
4. To ensure compliance and responsiveness to child and adult safeguarding policies and procedures.
5. To maintain professional competencies through personal development reviews and ongoing line management and supervision.
6. Recognise and undertake opportunities for CPD.
**Case Management**
1. Keep accurate, up to date notes in accordance with the Note Guidance Policy.
2. Engage in regular line management case reviews, ensuring adherence to the Case Management Policy.
3. To work alongside the GRASAC team to ensure that all service activity is accurately recorded, monitored, and evaluated.
4. To provide specific data as required and to write reports on service delivery as necessary.
**Communication**
1. To ensure effective communication of information within GRASAC resulting in an accessible, reliable, and smooth-running service for all clients.
2. To promote a positive view of and be an ambassador for GRASAC when interacting with external partners and stakeholders.
**Other**
1. Engage with clinical supervision, training, personal development, and wellbeing, using opportunities provided by GRASAC to do so.
2. Working as part of our small and supportive team.
3. Answering incoming calls into the GRASAC office.
4. Any other reasonable task commensurate with this post.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: £25,591.00-£26,870.00 per year
