London, United Kingdom London Borough of Camden Full time

**Starting salary**:£33,789
**Job Level**:Level 3, Zone 1
**Work Location**: 5 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG
**Hours per week**: 36 hours per week
**Contract type**: Permanent
**Closing date**: Wednesday 2nd August 2023, 23:59
**Interviews to be held**: Tuesday 8th August

**Anonymised Application** - _in keeping with Camden’s commitment to inclusion the recruitment to this role is anonymised and supports the objective of reducing the impact of unconscious bias._

**About us**

Camden is listening to everyone, including you.

We’re giving a platform to people inside and outside our community. Because, we’re not just home to the UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. **Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all**

**The role**

We are looking for a highly committed, self-motivated and experienced person who can support the development and growth of Camden’s Shared Lives scheme.

The primary purpose of this role is to be the main point of contact for Shared Lives Carers and citizens using the Shared Lives service. The post holder will be responsible for promoting the service - which will include confidently presenting to groups, inspiring and attracting carers, then matching carers with service users.

The scheme is still quite new to Camden but we are building a very good reputation. The scheme is a Care Quality Commission registered service, all staff and Shared Lives Carers work within the CQC standards.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

**About you**

To be successful in this role it would be desirable that you have an NVQ Level 3 qualification or above in Health and Social Care or 3 year minimum working with complex needs. You will also need to have demonstrable experience of supporting people with varying and complex support needs.

Due to the nature of the role, you will need to strike the balance between being approachable, warm and friendly whilst maintaining professional boundaries. You will also have the ability problem solve efficiently and effectively and a can-do attitude.

The role will require you to be an excellent natural communicator, both verbally and written, as well as being confident at holding difficult conversations and have the ability to challenge poor practice and look for innovative ways to resolve issues. There will also be a requirement to explain the service to community groups.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, who is experienced in completing detailed and complex support plans and risk assessments, focusing on what matters to the person and their goals.

**Working for Camden**

We’re ready to welcome your ideas, your views, and your rebellious spirit. **Help us redefine how we’re supporting people, and we’ll redefine what a career can be.**
