Job description

**The role and need**:We need** **a junior partnerships and workshop executive to launch, create and develop the** **links to interested organisations** **to run _Your Direction_, a new series of workshops transforming the lives of young people whose parents have separated.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Reporting into Erik Castenskiold, CEO to create links and set up partnerships with interested organisations
- Build interest in _Your Direction_ by explaining how the workshop works, answer questions and discuss the delivery of the course across various different and new environments.
- Coordinate timetables and resources to start and deliver workshops.
- Help _Your Direction _build a team of volunteers to lead and facilitate workshops.
- Facilitating and leading groups of 6 to 10 people on the 12-18 and 18-30 year old workshops

**Who would suit this role**

This role would suit someone who is just starting their career who can create opportunities in a fast growing, new charity. You don’t need experience and full training will be given. We’re looking for a sociable and confident person who enjoys networking with others both online over social media and in person. Someone with lots of energy and self-motivation who can easily connect, understand and relate to our 12-30 year old workshop attendees.

**Number of days a week**:3-4 days a week. We are a small and growing team so part time hours are fine although it is a minimum of 3 days a week

**The location**: At least 1 day a week in London normally on a Thursday (timing and location to be confirmed) otherwise flexible (although our aim is to build a small team in London giving the opportunity for more face to face as a team time together).

**Remuneration and contract**:Flexible depending on experience and a 12-month contract

**Background**: Being a child of separated parents would assist the role as this will aid connection with workshop guests but is not obligatory.

**What is **_Your Direction_**? **_Your Direction_ is a five-session workshop that brings young people together in a safe, non-judgemental space to talk about their parents’ separation or divorce. Together we explore the challenges and highlight tools and skills that help 12 to 30 year olds navigate their parents’ breakup successfully either during the crisis or many years later when issues arise.

The workshop gives time to connect with the other guests and is filled with practical tips and numerous skills to journey through life’s ups and downs. The course is communicated through videos of young adult experiences together with a workshop manual called a “travel guide” that highlights the content through simple diagrams and exercises to bring the concepts to life.

**Who runs it?** _Your Direction_ is run by Restored Lives, a charity dedicated to creating resources to support anyone impacted by relationship breakdown, in partnership with Spurgeons, a leading children’s charity in England. The workshops are led by trained facilitators who typically have first-hand experience of going through separation or divorce themselves and who guide conversations constructively.
