Training and Participation Lead

This opportunity is a fixed term contract for 12 months, for any internal applicants, this will be a secondment for 12 months.
Our Training and Participation Lead will build and maintain community relationships.
The postholder will support our teams and peer mentors to build connections with diverse communities; for example, we will proactively engage with schools to increase referrals from clients identifying as female, and those from underserved communities.
Our Training and Participation Lead will recruit up to ten volunteers into the service and be responsible for our external training programme.
**REQUIRED SKILLS**:
To carry out this role succesfully, you will:
- have a successful track record of responsibility and development of others
- have experience of working in the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting
- have experience of planning and delivery of training programmes
- have a thorough understanding of safeguarding and boundaries in working with vulnerable people
- have a working knowledge of different types of volunteering and effective ways to manage the full volunteer journey
- have knowledge and understanding of health & safety, including assessing high risk situations involving clients
- be aware of the issues affecting those who misuse substances
- have experience of care-coordination and caseload management
- be able to demonstrate building and developing strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure continuity of service
- be a great team player and able to build successful working relationships with a range of different people
- have excellent organisational skills, able to manage your time and work effectively under pressure
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable using IT packages and digital media
