**Lower Level Senior Sales Consultant (Life Sales) -**

**Basic Salary £30,000.00 - £35,000 - OTE £70,000.00**

**Job Description**:
The role will be part of an experienced team of life insurance lower-level senior sales consultants who take up to 14 leads per day and make outbound calls to a warm database of clients, with the objective of providing a range of suitable insurance products on a non-advised basis. As an insurance broker with access to the whole of the market, lower levels senior sales consultants are expected to be highly professional, tenacious and compliant at all times.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering good customer outcomes that are consistent with Consumer Duty
- Maximise the potential of every lead received and overcome objections
- Conduct a robust fact find with each client, ensuring the correct product is presented
- Offer a range of products which are suitable for the clients and their budget
- Maintain a high standard of compliance at all times
- Manage a pipeline of business effectively
- Communicate clearly and precisely to the customers
- Work towards and ultimately achieve the targets set by the line manager
- Use questioning and listening skills when understanding the customer’s needs
- Utilise the calling technology provided, with a minimum of 4 hours call requirement per day
- Be polite and represent the business respectfully
- Work towards personal goals and ambitions set in 1-2-1 meetings
- Carry out other responsibilities set out by management
- Always be punctual and respectful of other employees.

Essential Skills
- Excellent written, verbal & listening communication skills with a professional telephone manner
- Ability to build rapport effectively with customers and colleagues
- Experience of influencing and persuading to successfully and compliantly handle objectives
- Proven ability to fact find in detail to ensure the customer needs are fully established and met
- Demonstrable success in closing sales whilst adhering to a sales process
- Accuracy & attention to detail.

Desirable Skills
- Ability to effectively summarise and para-phrase back to customers based on the information provided.

Essential Experience
- Experience of working successfully in a fast paced, targeted and regulated telephone sales environment
- Previously worked and enjoyed success in a micro-managed, buzzing and structured sales environment
- Team player but with the ability to achieve individual success
- Demonstrable success in a high volume based telephone sales role following a structured sales script
- Proven experience of consultative sales processes in a B2C telephone environment.

Desirable Experience
- Insurance or financial service sales
- Cold calling
- Mentoring sales teams for success
- Experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.
