Digital Business Services (DBS) provides essential support for the bank through operations, technology, key central business services such as procurement and real estate management, and a worldwide network of Chief Operating Officers.

The HSBC UK Chief Control Office has direct accountability for Digital Business Services, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Human Resources, Legal and Wealth & Personal Banking. Our team has responsibility for embedding the Non-Financial Risk Framework across HSBC UK and directing risk and control remediation (as required). In addition, this team needs to spearhead and influence conversations with Senior Management and Regulators.

The role is critical in the context of increased internal, as well as external (e.g., Local regulator / PRA / FCA) attention to identify, measure, evaluate, control, and manage risk effectively. You will support the safe growth of HSBC UK by ensuring that CCO activities align to the COO and wider HSBC UK strategy.

In this role you will:

- use insights to support the scoping and delivery of thematic review activities and effectively communicate results to global stakeholders to drive positive changes in risk management.
- ensure consistent and reliable data insights/dashboards and reporting insights quality is delivered.
- act as the overall quality assessor of all data insights/dashboards and reporting products published to the role holder’s business(es) or function(s).
- drive a culture of continuous improvement in data insights/dashboards practice, products and overall proposition, both within allocated regional business/function and cross-firm.
- work collaboratively with CCO Governance and Risk & Controls Business Partner teams to deliver against the data analytics strategy for the business.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

- Interpret and analyse structured and unstructured data, and an ability to generate key insights and intelligence is essential
- Knowledge and experience of data analytics, automation and data visualisation tools and techniques is required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement control best practices across in-scope business areas.
- Clearly articulate the impacts of scenario analysis and put forward solutions/ recommendations for consideration
- Good understanding of tools like Helios and an experience in Governance, Reporting, Risk and Controls Management and/or assurance is desirable.

This role is based in Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Bristol, Edinburgh. UK Hybrid..
