**About the role**:
CDS are looking for a Head of Bids to lead and develop our Bid Management function. The role will take responsibility for the agency’s strategic approach to formal bid opportunities through to bid architecture and execution of bid responses and proposals.

Your day-to-day...
- Leading an existing team of bid professionals who currently deliver bid responses across all service lines
- Leading our strategic bid responses that fall under our Digital, Data and Cloud services
- Day-to-day line management / leadership of the Bid Team
- Quality assurance for all Bid Team outputs
- Manage the technical/quality response for each bid including:

- ensuring all responses are delivered to quality and timescale
- developing coherent and compelling strategies and win themes
- ensuring all necessary approvals are in place prior to submission
- Manage the commercial response for each bid including:

- ensuring all pricing is in line with agreed levels of revenue and gross margin
- ensuring all necessary approvals are in place prior to submission
- Identify, manage, and mitigate any potential risks (commercial, technical, contractual, and reputational)
- Support the development of client facing presentations, pitches, and any subsequent phases following bid submission
- Create, manage, and develop essential management information for the CDS Senior Leadership Team on performance against agreed KPIs
- Identify and report on market trends that may influence our future target customers, service offerings and bid strategy

Essential requirements...
- A minimum of 5+ years Bid Management / Architect experience
- Previous experience in a strategic Digital or Tech agency role
- Demonstrable experience of developing (and winning) complex Digital Transformation projects in Public and/or Private sectors
- Demonstrate an eye for detail with strategic and innovative thinking
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of CRM systems, best practice sales processes and behaviours
- Naturally inquisitive, adventurous and a desire to challenge the status quo
- Ambitious and keen to be successful

**Vetting**

Due to the nature of this role and the business, you will need to either currently hold UK Government clearance to a minimum of SC level or be able to undergo and maintain this level of clearance.
