**About the Trust**

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust provides a range of elective, non-elective, surgical, medical, women’s, children’s, diagnostic and therapeutic services to a population of more than 300,000 people. The hospital opened in 1948.

The hub of the Trust is located on the outskirts of Nuneaton and its services cover a large footprint, including north Warwickshire, south west Leicestershire, and north Coventry.

The Trust also provides a range of community services, delivered across Coventry, Warwickshire, and Leicestershire. These include sexual health and community dentistry services for the whole of Warwickshire as well as hosting the Blue Sky Sexual Assault Referral Centre.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Work directly with Recruiting managers to guide them through the full recruitment cycle including vacancy approval, advertising, shortlisting, interviews and assessments, offers, pre-employment checks and first day arrangements.
- Work alongside Recruiting managers to review recruitment literature pre-advertising; ensuring correct up to date templates are used and recommending and influencing changes as appropriate to the vacancy.
- Keeping Applicants and Recruiting Managers informed and updated throughout the recruitment process.
- Ensure the accurate and timely entry of new starter information is completed within agreed process and timeframe, ensuring the safe transfer of data between the Trust and payroll provider.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:

- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to contribute to the written development of policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) for administration processes, reports and correspondence.
- Ability to influence, guide and persuade people at various levels of an organisation.
- Experience of using computerised and web-based HR information systems, e.g. ESR, DBS, NHS Jobs.
- Previous experience of investigating and resolving complex payroll queries.
- Experience of end-to-end medical recruitment. (Desirable)
- Knowledge of medical/deanery doctor rotations. (Desirable)
