**Job Description**_

Whilst the overarching aim of this role will remain, the specific responsibilities will be reviewed in line with the strategic development of the organisation.
- Priorities for the first six months_
- Manage Volunteer North Hampshire - Rushmoor database
- Manage the in-house team of office volunteers.
- plan and implement a Volunteer Passport Scheme.

Plan and implement imaginative ways of recruiting and retaining volunteers with RVS member organisations.
- Work with our neighbouring Councils for Voluntary Services’ (CVS) to:

- review the Volunteer North database.
- work with the website developer to create a micro-volunteering platform.
- Identify and implement a programme of training to upskill volunteers and member organisations.
- Work with the CDM to support and improve existing events in the community and for RVS member groups, including the annual programme of volunteer recognition.
- 6-12 months_
- Review the Volunteer Passport Scheme
- Work with our neighbouring CVSs to:

- improve and maintain the North Hants Volunteering database.
- review the training programme.
- Main Duties and Responsibilities_

Take a key role in the management of the RVS Volunteer Hub:

- Manage the RVS in house team of volunteers.
- Manage Volunteer North Hampshire - Rushmoor database.
- Design and implement the Volunteer Passport.
- Create a programme of volunteer training, both in house and for member organisations.

Support the local voluntary sector to develop and to thrive:

- Provide information, advice and support to member organisations on new and existing initiatives.
- Work with partners to develop valuable, cross sector opportunities.
- Support existing community events and RVS member groups.
- Maintain links with the Hampshire network of CVS.
- Keep abreast of national trends in volunteer recruitment and management.
- Communications_

Contribute to web and social media design, content and management.

Assist with the development and delivery of a communication strategy for:

- Member organisations and local community engagement.
- Funders and partner organisations.
- Other stakeholders, as agreed with the CDM.
- Administration_

Work with the CDM and other relevant staff to provide timely reports for:

- the Boards of Trustees and the wider team on performance and related information.
- project funders and contractors, including performance data for individual projects and staff activities.
- Support the continued development of the CRM.
- General_
- Support good internal communications and a positive working environment.
- Maintain good working relations with key individuals and other organisations within the voluntary, statutory, public and business sectors active within Rushmoor.
- When required, support RVS on matters of strategy, business development and planning.
- Promote equality and diversity in all undertakings.
- Undertake other duties as requested by the CDM that are commensurate with the post and the development of the organisation.
- In all undertakings ensure compliance with RVS policies.

You will be educated to a high standard, be administratively self-supporting and possess excellent IT skills. You will possess a positive, ‘can do’ manner, be approachable and respectful with the ability to motivate and influence people.

You will have experience of project management, ideally within the voluntary sector.

You will understand what best practice in volunteer management looks like and are comfortable advising and supporting others to achieve this.
