The UCL Department of Computer Science is the leading computer science research department in the UK, ranked #1 in the most recent Research Excellence Framework. It carries out research, undergraduate, and postgraduate teaching across all areas of theoretical and applied computer science.

AT2030 is a large £19.8m programme which tests what works in getting Assistive technologies to people globally. A part of this is the development of tools which aid people in accessing information and making decisions based on this information. AT2030 is led by the Global Disability Innovation Hub (GDI Hub), which is both a research and practice centre. The research centre within GDI hub is led by UCL within UCL Interaction Centre (UCLIC).

**About the role**:
The postholder will lead study design, data collection and analysis to understand Accessibile and Assistive Technology (AAT) users’ need, cognitive process and information seeking behaviours and to develop design guidelines, iterative prototyping for online interactive AAT information sharing platforms and tools. The position requires using a combination of quantitative, qualitative and analytic methods. A further aim is to evaluate the usability, accessibility and effectiveness of our new platforms and tools to support various learning activities.

S/he should have a PhD or equivalent professional qualifications and a track record of publication at international leading venues.

**About you**:

- Study design, data collection and analysis to understand how disabled people living in low-and-middle-income-countries use mobile phones in their everyday life and what is the potential of mobile phone as an assistive technology.
- To help develop accessible and inclusive material and guidelines for mobile digital skills training suitable for practical use in international context
