**School Organisation Officer**

**Location**: Walsall, West Midlands

**Main Purpose of the Job Role**:
As a School Organisation Officer, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and update pupil projection databases, prepare forecasts of mainstream and special school pupil numbers, and provide essential information to support area reviews of school provision. You will play a crucial role in preparing consultation documents, reports, and statutory notices for school organization proposals, as well as assisting with various administrative tasks related to school projects. Additionally, you will liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient planning and provision of school places.

**Role Specific Duties and Accountabilities**:

- Develop and maintain databases to support the planning of school places for all Walsall mainstream schools.
- Prepare forecasts of mainstream and special school pupil numbers based on various data sources.
- Act as a point of contact for all school organization matters and provide progress updates for projects.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Provide assurance to the School Organisation Manager regarding school expansions and pupil place planning.
- Monitor overall progress to ensure successful delivery within agreed parameters.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, IFM, and Asset Management Team.
- Take ownership of professional development aligned with the requirements of the role.

- Familiarity with GIS Software, Collect database, Capita One, or similar tools.
- Full driving license or willingness to travel around the borough.
- GCSE grade C or above in English Language and Maths or equivalent qualification.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £13.02-£16.93 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
