We have an exciting opportunity to join our Community Action team to work on projects specifically related to community viewpoints on inequality at end of life and how we might create change.

We will be running a series of projects and initiatives on inequalities connected to end of life, and our Peer Learning Facilitator will work with our Action Researcher to help people explore and share their thoughts, experiences and assist in making changes.

The postholder will help members of the community develop their skillsets and explore and learn about inequalities and ways we can address them. You’ll take a peer-based approach focused on encouraging a flow of learning between people about community strengths and assets. You’ll help people in peer groups explore important topics, share knowledge and skills between themselves and develop their critical skills.

As a Peer Learning Facilitator, you will:

- Develop our peer learning potential, collaborating with colleagues from across St Christopher’s.
- Facilitate opportunities for people to explore and share their experiences of inequalities.
- You’ll support with training if they need it, and ensure they have what they need to explore the questions they have in a critically engaged way.
- Work with members of the community interested in social action to address inequalities at the end of life.
- Help people understand and explore the context of these situations, different perspectives and lived experiences.
- Introduce learning opportunities for new community participants or volunteers who seek to actively support others with end of life experiences.
- Be an active member of the Community Action team contributing to our goals and helping staff learn about community experiences and perspectives, especially those of lived experience.

We use creative methods to bring about mutualistic responses to death, dying and loss, and address inequities, and hold a social change agenda.
