**About the role**

The University’s Registry are looking to appoint an Administrator to work within the Regulations and Compliance team on a full-time, fixed term basis. It is an opportunity for someone looking to gain experience with student casework, including appeals and conduct cases.

The successful applicant will work within a small, committed team that carry out casework relating to student appeals, complaints, fitness to practise, fitness to study and academic and student conduct, as well as give advice and guidance to students and staff about University regulations and procedures.

The ideal successful applicant will have good interpersonal and written communication skills and a strong commitment to putting the student first.

The role involves the handling of sensitive information appropriately, and the ideal successful applicant will be willing to embrace digital development and work innovatively to produce positive student outcomes.

Finally, they will have a strong commitment to personal development and to working to a high standard set by the University and the Office of the Independent Adjudicator.

The role is an opportunity for someone looking to work collaboratively with colleagues across the University, and more closely within a brilliant and friendly team.

**Main Responsibilities**

The main responsibilities for our Registry Operations Administrator will be to:

- To work with colleagues within and outside the team to arrange meetings with students about conduct matters
- To support casework relating to student appeals and complaints, including liaising with senior colleagues within Schools and Services
- Answering queries within a shared inbox, with a focus on guiding enquirers to already existing support materials where appropriate
- Supporting the administrative process for Disclosure and Barring Service checks for students
- To support the wider team in implementing efficiency saving measures and processes
- To work collaboratively with Schools and Services to respond to casework in a timely and professional fashion
- To effectively use technology to increase efficiency and support continuous improvement
- To participate in key University events including Examinations, Enrolment Weekend and Awards Ceremonies; promoting the provision within Registry as appropriate.
