We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate fundraiser to join our small, busy team at a crucial time, as we grow and shape our long-term strategy.

Working within the small but mighty fundraising function of The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity, you will support us to increase the value of funds raised year on year, as per agreed targets.

This is an exciting time to join us as you will have the opportunity to help shape our approach towards community fundraising and events that raise vital funds and help us to make a difference to the lives of our patients, their families and staff that care for them.

Coordinate and proactively develop community fundraising activities with a variety of stakeholders (RWT, patients, their families, visitors and community groups (including schools, faith organisations and membership organisations).

Negotiate and work collaboratively with a variety of different supporters to deliver maximum potential of each activity.

Carry out administrative tasks

Supervise and train fundraising volunteers

Provide and maintain records as required

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES

To appropriately coordinate community fundraising for The RWT Charity across different fundraising activities and deliver agreed annual income targets.

To undertake specific fundraising projects and attend events as necessary or will be required to support fundraising.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FUNDRAISING

To actively promote the RWT Charity and enthuse stakeholders (patients, families, community groups and individuals) to make the RWT Charity their chosen charity. This will include communicating the impact of the Charity, sharing approved case studies and updates that engage supporters in activities that strengthen their relationship with the RWT Charity.

STEWARDSHIP

Contribute to the fundraising team’s stewardship of donors - with innovative ideas to show our appreciation for their support.

Plan and deliver appropriate supporter journeys to steward supporters to increase their life

time value. Provide superior supporter care that exceeds the expectations of the supporter.

DATABASE - HARLEQUIN

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of relevant supporter communications, opportunities, relationships and contacts.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pledges, donations, volunteering, gifts in kind and acknowledgments.

ADMINISTRATION

Produce reports, and other information as requested by the Charity Development Manager or the Head of Communications.

Follow up enquiries, meetings and presentations and check on progress to ensure outcomes can be monitored.

Work closely and effectively with the fundraising team to gather and collate information that will

enhance the RWT Charity’s case for support, reports. Ensure that opportunities are not missed.

FINANCE

Working with the Charitable Funds Officer and the Charity Development Manager to forecast anticipated income based on supporter lists and specific fundraising campaigns.
