Activities Co-ordinator

Main Duties:
Job Functions
To provide and implement activities for the residents in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager, and within the financial plans agreed from time to time.
To ensure activities are created around the residents’ preferences and hobbies.
To support and enable Service User’s access to social networks, social activities and personal interests, in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager, and within the financial plans agreed from time to time.
To ensure activities are implemented and planned in line with the care plans, life stories and reviews held with social workers, senior carers, RGNS, managers and families / next of kin.
Ably discovers, understands and meets the needs of the residents and business partners. Gives Residents priority and responds quickly to their concerns.
To ensure care is given in a dignified and person centred manner.
To arrive in time and ensure you attend handover at the beginning and end of each shift.
Promotes independence and encourages a healthy and positive lifestyle
Reviews the life story of the Residents and facilitate activities towards their interests.
Manages and prioritises their workload in time effect manner in line with the needs of the residents.
Ensure consent is gained prior to giving care to residents.
Understand safeguarding and abuse.
Report any abuse to managers immediately in line with the safeguarding policies and procedures.
Ensure all residents are treated in a dignified manner and respect their privacy.
Understand what mental capacity is and how it impacts decision making by the service user and how this changes the way care is given.
Ensure residents are only transported in wheelchairs and are seated in appropriate lounge chairs / dining chairs.
Qualifications required:
Experience preffered
IT Skills required
QSF Level 2, or working towards
Pay: £11.44 per hour
