Data Quality Lead

An opportunity has arose within the Data Quality Team for the appointment of a Data Quality Lead.
The post holder will support the Data Quality Assurance Manager in improving the quality of data held in the Trust and in taking forward all aspects of the data quality agenda.
The post holder will work with the Data Quality Assurance Manager in defining a consistent approach to data quality across the Trust, taking the lead on developing and implementing best practice guidelines and procedures within the Clinical Groups.
Managerial and service improvement experience is an essential criteria for this position.
To oversee the day-to-day operations and tasks of the Data Quality Team, ensuring deadlines are met and escalating to the Data Quality & Assurance Manager as appropriate.
To support the Data Quality Assurance Manager with the management of and in the development, monitoring and maintenance of all data quality activities within the University Hospitals of Coventry & Warwickshire.
As part of the Data Quality team act as the Trusts focal point for data quality, taking responsibility for the identification, verification and interrogation of complex patient related data investigating, and where possible resolving, with the appropriate management team, any suspected problems with data held on the Trust’s information systems and recommending best practice.
Provide administrative support to all Data Quality Forums; this will include minute taking and distribution of papers.

- Be a flexible member of the Performance and Informatics Team, providing assistance to other staff within the department and covering the work of colleagues during the periods of absence or peak workloads.
- To develop and maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in NHS information standards and definitions.
- Participate in appraisal and personal reviews and work to achieve agreed set objectives.
- Participate in appropriate training and development activities and maintain a good understanding of available new technologies/techniques.
- Ensure all processes have written current procedures and that they are followed and maintained at all times, offering suggestions for improvements to the process as appropriate
