Randstad are recruiting for a payroll officer to work alongside the existing payroll team for an ongoing contract with Belfast Metropolitan College.

**Benefits**:

**Requirements**:

- Have a level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline OR 2 years payroll experience
- 12 months experience in a payroll function
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office - Excel is essential
- Experience with either auto-enrolment, pensions or business expenses / P11d's
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English - C and above

**Responsibilities**:

- Collate timesheets and other information which relates to payments
- Check that all documentation received is properly authorised
- Input data from timesheets and other documentation.
- Undertake checks to ensure accuracy of input
- Calculate and input payment details for staff with more than one post and ensure costing is correct
- Calculate authorised manual payments, ensure accurate and timely posting, and ensure manual payments are subsequently recouped where appropriate
- Calculate and input sick pay and maternity pay in accordance with appropriate schemes and statutory regulations
- Calculate and input amounts for other college schemes such as the Cycle to Work and Childcare Voucher Schemes
- Initiate and complete all documentation relating to terminations such as P45 tax form, pension forms where applicable
- Maintain personal employee records, including master data, and in relation to sickness and absences
